002 - Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
|

|
003 - Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
|
|
|
004 - For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
|
|
|
005 - But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
|
|
|
006 - And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.
|
|
|
007 - Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
|
|
|
008 - It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
|
|
|
009 - The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
|
|
|
010 - If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
|
|
|
011 - For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?
|
|
|
012 - For vain men would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass`s colt.
|
|
|
013 - If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;
|
|
|
014 - If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
|
|
|
015 - For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
|
|
|
016 - Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
|
|
|
017 - And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
|
|
|
018 - And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
|
|
|
019 - Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
|
|
|
020 - But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.

001 - And Job answered and said,
|
|
|
002 - No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
|
|
|
003 - But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?
|
|
|
004 - I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
|
|
|
005 - He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
|
|
|
006 - The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.
|
|
|
007 - But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
|
|
|
008 - Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
|
|
|
009 - Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
|
|
|
010 - In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
|
|
|
011 - Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?
|
|
|
012 - With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
|
|
|
013 - With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.
|
|
|
014 - Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
|
|
|
015 - Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
|
|
|
016 - With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.
|
|
|
017 - He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.
|
|
|
018 - He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.
|
|
|
019 - He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.
|
|
|
020 - He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.
|
|
|
021 - He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.
